Frequently asked questions

Lyssna is an all-in-one user research platform that helps teams make confident decisions by listening to real people. It brings together unmoderated testing, live moderated research, surveys, and participant recruitment in one place, so you can run everything from quick validation to deeper discovery without juggling multiple tools.

Your demo is a tailored walkthrough based on your company goals, and research needs. We’ll show you how Lyssna works end-to-end, from setting up a study to recruiting participants and reviewing results. We’ll also cover relevant methods, workflows, and pricing, and leave plenty of time for questions. The goal is clarity, not a generic product tour.

Lyssna supports a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including:

  • Unmoderated testing - Figma prototype tasks, first-click tests, five-second tests, preference tests, design surveys, navigation tests, card sorting, tree testing, and live website tests.

  • Moderated interviews

  • Surveys & quantitative feedback - comprehensive surveys for attitudes, perception, and concept testing and screener questions to qualify participants before testing.

  • Behavioral and qualitative capture - audio, video and screen recording to capture user behavior and reactions.

You can mix and match methods depending on whether you need fast feedback or deeper insight.

Yes. Lyssna provide access to a global participant panel with hundreds of thousands of participants across countries, demographics, and professional backgrounds. You can use demographic targeting and screener questions to reach the right audience, and incentives are handled for you. Many panel orders start filling within minutes.

Absolutely. You can recruit participants from your own audience at no extra cost. You can generate a self-recruitment link for each study, which you can share via email, social media, CRM tools, or internal channels.

You can also:

  • Customize or brand the experience for your audience

  • Add demographic or screener questions

  • Disable the link at any time

  • Cap the number of responses

  • Redirect users after a study

Many teams combine their own participants with the Lyssna panel depending on their study, participant availability and timeframes.

Lyssna uses a subscription to access the platform and its research tools. Participant recruitment from the Lyssna panel is priced separately using credits, so you only pay for recruitment when you need it.

Self-recruiting your own participants is always free (with some viewing limits on the Free plan). Credits are flexible, don’t expire, and can be purchased as needed or in bulk.

Lyssna is the evolution of UsabilityHub. While UsabilityHub focused on fast design tests, Lyssna expands on that foundation with a broader range of research methods, moderated interviews, more powerful workflows, and flexible recruitment options, all under a new brand built for modern research teams.
