Looking to personalize your user research studies? The branding customization feature available on Lyssna’s Pro plan allows you to change the appearance of your tests for participants you recruit so that you can give them a more seamless brand experience and reinforce brand recognition. Below, we explore four use cases for custom branding your user tests and see how it works in Lyssna.

4 reasons you should add custom branding to your research studies

A customized study can enhance your research efforts and provide your participants with an engaging and authentic experience. Below, we cover the top four reasons why you should consider tailoring your studies.

1. Build a consistent brand experience

By incorporating your company's logo and color scheme into your study, you guarantee consistency with your brand's visual identity across all touchpoints. This helps to create a unified brand experience.

2. Establish professionalism and trust

Custom branding adds a professional touch to your research studies, instilling a sense of trust and credibility. It shows that your company takes user experience seriously and invests in delivering a polished research process.

For example, say you work at a financial institution. By customizing your studies with your company’s brand colors and logo, you create a visually polished and consistent testing experience. This will reinforce the professionalism of your institution and build trust with your users.

3. Gain deep insights

By incorporating your brand's personality and tone of voice into your tests, you can help to create a sense of community, where participants want to provide feedback that will help further your brand. This can lead to deep insights and a better understanding of your target audience.

Bear in mind that some tests will work better without customization, as some participants may have biases against your brand and provide skewed feedback. For this reason, you may want to consider conducting a mix of both branded and non-branded studies.

4. Differentiate from your competitors

By making thoughtful design choices and including consistent messaging in your studies, you can align the research experience with your brand values and positioning. This helps create positive associations, boost brand perception, and differentiate your company from competitors.
